MEI 'C' PURLIN
MEI C- sections are secondary structural members used to gab between frames. These profi les are made from pre-hot dipped galvanized steel, G2 75 coating based on BSEN 10147 with minimum guaranteed yield strength 350 N/mm2. The metal thickness vary from 1.5mm to 2.5mm. Sleeves are used to join purlin above frames, where as 6 to8mm cleat and 16mm bolt are- usually used to connect this profi le to building frames.
The section reference of a C-Section 302mm deep and 2.5mm thick = 302 C 25. The fi rst 3 digits of the section reference indicate the depth of the section in millimeters (ie: 302 equals 302mm deep) The fourth digit is letter that signifi es the profi le type (ie:C for C profi le). The last two digits indicate the material thickness (25 equals 2.5mm)
